Description
Colorful Lionel postwar box car from circa 1956-57 with the type 2B body, build date and bar-end metal trucks with tabbed couplers that are attached with push pins (which is a proper vintage frame combo for this car). There's a minor flaw with the factory heat-stamped "CAPY 100000" on one lower left side that cut off the top part, though for what it's worth I currently have another C of GA car like this with a similar flaw so it must not be that unusual...Otherwise, there are no chips or cracks in the plastic anywhere but there are some scrapes, scratches and a pinhead-sized gray spec on the lower right of one side and one small indent to the top catwalk lattice grid as shown in the last pic. The frame and trucks are super clean with wheels and plates showing minimal run time, though there is a gouge in one wheel flange (top of lower left wheel in pic #11). Both coupler knuckle springs still pop the couplers open when activated.

P
ictures always say it best and are an important part of the description too, so p
lease examine all pictures closely for overall appearance and grading in your own best judgment and let me know if you have any questions BEFORE making a bid.
Also, if you require any special considerations in terms of delivery or packing, please send an email to coordinate BEFORE YOU PAY as ebay starts the ship-time clock upon your payment, so that's no time for prescriptive repacking, deliberately delaying delivery or any other special instructions :-)
US bidders only and payment due within 2 days of winning please. Ebay shipping estimate is for USPS Priority, calculated to your zip code and should be pretty accurate as I try to pack before listing to show an accurate ship charge. And I never add anything extra for handling, packing materials, etc. as I consider that included with your bid. Any over-charge collected (down to the penny) will be gladly refunded!
*Important extra reading: Even though I'm doing this as a hobby, I value good relationships as much as any business and always strive for your complete satisfaction. Communication is the key so please don't be shy about sending an extra note at any time if you have questions, concerns or suggestions. Everyone makes mistakes at times, so all I ask if it's my mistake is the opportunity to make reasonable amends for it. So please contact me first before leaving negative or neutral feedback in the system or asking for a return.
Thanks for your time and consideration and best of luck if you choose to make a bid!
