Swollen stick neck standard glaze vase from Owens Pottery

Description

Swollen stick neck standard glaze slip decorated vase bottom marked, "Owen ID44" by impression. The piece is 8 3/4" tall, 1 1/4" at the top swell, 1" at the neck's narrowest point, 4 1/2" in body diameter, with a 2 1/4" foot. The base standard glaze shades from dark to light brown on the bodies reverse. The central decoration consists of an orange flower blossom with red center and a bud above it with leaves and stems done in green around them. The vase has uniform crazing and a small glaze skip on the rim of the foot that has the same glaze as the bottom not the vase body color. there are no hairlines or repairs present.
